Town Engineer

Charles King joined the Town of Smyrna in 2019 as the Town Engineer.  Prior to joining the Town, he served as a Senior Project Manager with Collier Engineering Company and as a Civil Engineer with Tennessee Department of Transportation.  As the Town Engineer, Charles is tasked with providing consultation to the Town Manager and Town Council members on new development activities.  He leads our engineering efforts in maintaining and growing our infrastructure.

Charles holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University.  He is married to Chris and they have two children.  Charles is a lifelong resident of Smyrna and is happy to have the opportunity to serve his community in this role.
