JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing duties under immediate supervision
while leading and guiding patrons in the use of Town Fitness Facilities and
equipment. Duties and responsibilities include monitoring workout floors,
racquetball and tennis courts, assisting patrons in workout routines, and
performing general housekeeping duties. Reports to Fitness Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess accredited fitness certification.

Be able to show progress towards degree in fitness, health and nutrition.
or
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which
provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
Must possess current certification in CPR and first aid.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid Tennessee drivers license.
Must be able to complete AED training within 30 days of accepting employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Orients patrons to proper use of the Town facility and equipment
Monitors workout floors, locker rooms, racquetball and tennis courts and other
parts of the facility.
Administers CPR and first aid until qualified medical staff arrives, if
necessary.
Assists patrons in workout routines and fitness testing.
Performs minor and routine maintenance to equipment.
Performs general housekeeping to insure the facility is clean and neat to the
public.
Performs routine chemical checks on whirlpools and accurately record results.
Cleans filters and whirlpools..
Monitors temperatures in saunas, steam rooms, and whirlpools and accurately
record results.
Performs various administrative jobs such as creating records, reports,
correspondence, memorandums, etc. using word processing.
Assists in ordering supplies, materials and other commodities by being aware
of inventory.
Receives, monitors, and directs incoming calls.
Plans, coordinates, and assists in special projects and events.
Files and maintains records.
Schedules appointments with patrons.
Operates the cash register. Reports any discrepancies immediately to the
supervisor.
Maintains records in compliance to Federal, State, and City regulations.
Works safely observing all OSHA, Federal, State, and City regulations. Report
any accidents immediately to supervisor.
Performs routine maintenance on equipment. Report any malfunctioning equipment
to the supervisor.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide coverage in absence of other personnel.
Conduct behavior at all times in a professional manner to reflect positively
on customers perception of town facility.
Promote the teamwork environment. Assist coworkers when necessary.
Help maintain the cleanliness of machines, work area and facility. Report
incidents, or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
