JOB SUMMARY
Under immediate supervision, leads and guides patrons in the use of Town Fitness Facilities and equipment and performs related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or GED.
• Fitness Certifications or working towards degree or experience in related field.
• Current certification in CPR and first aid.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Orients patrons in proper use of the Town facility and equipment
• Monitors workout floors, locker rooms, racquetball and tennis courts and other parts of the facility.
• May give CPR and first aid until qualified medical staff arrives.
• Assist patrons in workout routines and fitness testing.
• Perform minor and routine maintenance to equipment.
• Perform general housekeeping to insure the facility is clean and neat to the public.
• Perform routine chemical checks on whirlpools and accurately record results.
• Routinely clean filters and whirlpools.
• Monitor temperatures in saunas, steam rooms, and whirlpools and accurately record results.
• Perform various administrative jobs such as creating records, reports, correspondence, memorandums, etc. using word processing.
• Assist in ordering supplies, materials and other commodities by being aware of inventory.
• Receive, monitor and direct incoming calls.
• Plan, coordinate and assist in special projects and events.
• Accurately file and maintain records.
• Schedule appointments.
• Operate the cash register. Report any discrepancies immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain records in compliance to Federal, State, and City regulations.
• Work safely observing all OSHA, Federal, State, and City regulations. Report any accidents immediately to supervisor.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
• Conduct behavior at all times in a professional manner to reflect positively on customer’s perception of town facility.
• Promote the teamwork environment. Assist coworkers when necessary.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of machines, work area and facility. Report incidents, or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide coverage in absence of other personnel.
