Notice is hereby given that the Town of Smyrna Beer Board
will conduct a public hearing at its regular monthly meeting
on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall
relative to the beer applications for the following
businesses:
1. Bar-B-Cutie (Sung Keel Cho and Chung Hee Cho), 550 Enon
Springs Road East - on premises permit
2. Thida Thai Restaurant (Panouphone Sundara), 721 President
Place – on premises permit
3. M and M Market (Girgis Tadros and Bahgat Yami), 37 South
Lowry Street - off premises permit
LEGAL NOTICE
The Town of Smyrna will be conducting
a PUBLIC MEETING on July 9, 2009 at 6:30 PM at the
Town Hall Council Chambers to provide information about the
Town applying for an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
2009 Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan in the amount of
$5,250,000 to build a Repurified Water Distribution System
and the resulting impact on monthly water/sewer bills.
It is noted that 40% of that amount will be in the form of
principal forgiveness and will not have to be repaid.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that Rutherford
County, the City of Murfreesboro, the City of LaVergne and
the Town of Smyrna will apply for a grant award of
$130,957.00 from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
Assistance Grant (JAG) Program through the Bureau of Justice
Assistance (BJA), and the U. S. Department of Justice. The
award would be made jointly to all jurisdictions, to be
distributed as follows: Rutherford County, $46,721.47; the
City of Murfreesboro, $53,269.33; the City of LaVergne,
$16,587.95; and the Town of Smyrna, $14,378.25, to be used
for law enforcement purposes. The award requires no local
matching funds.
The application must be filed by July
9, 2009. Anyone wishing additional information should
contact Lieutenant Phillip Martin at the Rutherford County
Sheriff’s Department at 898-7913, Major Hiram Lester at the
Murfreesboro Police Department at 849-2686, Sergeant Carl
McMillen at the LaVergne Police Department at 287-8616, or
