Presented to help connect our tactical unit with other units and provide the public with a better understanding of our goals and missions.

The Smyrna Police SWAT team, consists of active Smyrna Police Department Officers; each officer also carries the specification of "tactical" officer.

The tactical officers must be employed at least two years in good standing, pass a physical agility and marksmanship test, and maintain continuous physical tactical training as well as in-service tactical education.

Currently there are 3 tactical sniper marksmen, 11 tactical operators, 1 certified EMT and 4 hostage negotiators.
