Town Council Workshop

The Town Council Workshop is usually scheduled for the last Tuesday or Thursday of each month. This meeting takes place at Smyrna City Hall, 315 South Lowry Street in Smyrna.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

1.    Consideration of a resolution relative to a Plan of Services for property located on Tax Map 54, part of Parcel 62.01.
2.    Consideration of an ordinance relative to the annexation and PRD zoning of property located on Tax Map 54, part of Parcel 62.01, containing approximately 1.79 acres (requested by Land Solutions Company on behalf of John Hill).  Property is located west of Rocky Fork Almaville Road and north of Briley Road.  Second Reading.
3.    Consideration of a resolution in memorandum of Ordinance #19-22 relative to the annexation and PRD zoning of property located on Tax Map 54, part of Parcel 62.01.
4.    Consideration of an ordinance relative to the amendment of the existing PRD for property located on Tax Map 54, Parcels 47.00 and 62.00, containing approximately 107.15 acres (requested by Land Solutions Company).  Property is located on Rocky Fork Almaville Road.  In addition, request includes rezoning 2.44 acres of Parcel 62.00 from PRD to R-1.  Second Reading.
5.    Consideration of an ordinance relative to the amendment of the text of the Smyrna Municipal Zoning Ordinance to amend Article IV, Section 4.075 “Building Spacing”. Second Reading.
6.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a contract with Neel-Schaffer, Inc. relative to construction engineering inspection services for the Intelligent Transportation Phase I and II Project.
7.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a contract with Gresham Smith relative to design services for the Sam Ridley Parkway at Old Nashville Highway Intersection Improvement Project.
8.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, an extension contract with CMS Uniforms relative to Fire Department uniforms.
9.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, an extension contract with Pye Barker relative to Fire Department fire extinguisher service.
10.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a contract with Cummins Crosspoint relative to generator maintenance at Fire Station 4.
11.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a contract with Cummins Crosspoint relative to generator maintenance for Fire Stations 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and the Moore’s Hill radio tower site.
12.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Police Department and the Domestic Violence Program.
13.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a change order with Experitec relative to the Gas SCADA Upgrade Project at Rock Springs Gate Station.
14.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a contract with  ______________ relative to Gas AMI Metering Upgrade Project.
15.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a renewal contract with Bush Construction relative to gas continuing construction.
16.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, a contract with Synagro relative to Water Treatment Plant lagoon sludge removal.
17.    Approval of the terms of, and authorization for the Mayor to execute, contracts with the following relative to chemicals for the Water and Waste Water Treatment Plants:

20.    Consideration of an ordinance adopting the budget for fiscal year 2019-2020.  First Reading.
21.    Consideration of an ordinance adopting the property tax rate for fiscal year 2019-2020.  First Reading.
22.    Consideration of the issuance of debt for capital projects.
23.    Discussion of options regarding large open spaces in new developments.
24.    Consideration of Settlement Agreement in resolution of Johnson v. Town of Smyrna, Officer Baggett.
