Smyrna Town Hall to Serve as Early Voting Polling Location
Smyrna Town Hall will serve as an early voting polling location for the Presidential Preference Primary and Rutherford County Primary. Voters will cast their vote for a Party Presidential Nominee, as well as the Rutherford County Highway Superintendent, Property Assessor, Circuit Court Judge Part V, and County Commission District 10 Nominees. Early voting will be held February 12, 2020 - February 25, 2020. Registered voters need to bring a state or federal government issued ID with them. Town Hall voting hours are 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. If you would like to vote in this primary, you must register to vote no later than February 3, 2020.
About early voting:
Early Voting begins twenty days and ends five days before each election, with the exception of the Presidential Preference Primary, which ends seven days before the election. Early Voting is conducted at the Election Commission Office and at satellite locations.
No reason is needed to vote early. If needed, the voter may change his/her address or name while voting early.
Inactive voters can also be reactivated.
Voters need to bring a state or federal government issued ID with them.
Hours for early voting will be decided by the Election Commission and announced for each election.
On the last day of early voting, machines will be sealed and taken to a secure location. Early voting results will be tallied after closing of the polls at 7:00 p.m. on election night.
