Smyrna Utilities is committed to providing a high-quality supply of water and properly treated wastewater processing for our customers. The Water/Wastewater Maintenance division manages the Town of Smyrna's water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Activities include maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction of the following:
- Existing or new water and wastewater lines
- Repairing water main leaks
- Unstopping wastewater main & service line blockages from street cleanouts to mains
- Installation and maintenance of water meters and water valves
- Maintenance and flow testing of fire hydrants
- Flushing dead end water lines to ensure water quality
- Performing annual water back-flow testing to ensure there are no cross connection issues
- Maintaining re-use water
